Rosa Louise Parks
February 4, 1913 – October 24, 2005
When Rosa Parks was born, she was named Rosa Louise. Her father was a carpenter and her mother was a teacher. They separated when she was two years old, and she went with her mother and brother then moved to her grandparents' farm. She was homeschooled until she was eleven, then she went to the Montgomery Industrial School for Girls. She went college, but droped out to care for her grandmother who was sick at the time. She also worked as a seamstress. On December 1, 1955 after a hard day at work, she was riding the bus home when the driver asked her and three black men to move to make more room where the white people sat. The three men moved, but she didnt.Soon apolice officer came and arrested her she was tooken to jail, but was bailed out later that evening.
I think Rosa Parks is a great woman.During her life she went through alot of things, such as her parents divorcing and having to drop out of school to take care of her sick grandmother. She faught for blacks and im glad she stood her ground insted of leting them tell her what to do. Rosa Parks did alot about rasim in that time. #TEAM ROSA PARKS
